Exactly 50 years from the day of its inception, the Esperance Speedway opened the gates on Saturday, December 28 to more than 75 drivers and their crews to commemorate such an enormous achievement.

Spectators joined us from all across the state with many having been a part of the club’s foundation all those years ago.

The Supermods and Junior Sedans made their way to the Esperance track, now known as the Bullring, to compete in their respective South East Opens.

The greater speedway community was invited to attend an Anniversary Sundowner the next afternoon on the Sunday, sharing stories, looking over historical records and taking part in what will be a very special moment for the Esperance club’s history.

The Committee would like to thank everyone that attended the anniversary events and the Shire of Esperance, Civic Centre and Esperance Museum for supporting the club to create such a wonderful weekend for everyone to enjoy.

The club would like to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year.

Molly Dickerson (199) leads Adelayde Humphrys (42) into the turn during the New Star Junior’s race.
Liam Hickey (45) leads Andrew Green in the Outlaw Karts.

We will see everyone back at the track on January 11 for the 2025 AMCA Nationals WA State Title and West Coast Outlaw Kart South East Opens.

The upcoming 2025 Western Fuels Group SSA Production Sedan WA State Title will be held on the Australia Day long weekend.

Head on over to our Facebook page for all the details.
