Artist Alex Desebrock invites the community to an interactive residency and exhibition called Tree Listening.
She plans to transform the Cannery Arts Centre’s Art Room into a space for reflection and connection with the natural world.
“The evolving installation will feature contributions from local students, community members, and tree experts, culminating in a collective ‘Forest of Important Trees’,” she said.
Public events include Tree Talk – a conversation with Wudjari Elder Aunty Annie and botanist Katie White, hosted by Alex Desebrock on Wednesday March 26; and Walk & Draw – a guided tree listening session at Lake Monjingup on Sunday March 30.
The exhibition and residency runs until Sunday, April 6.
