Results are in: b’ball grand finals

United Women’s A team capped off a dominant season winning the grand final 37-33 against Red Cans. United’s Kodey Major won the MVP of the match after scoring nine points. Talisia Bourne scored 14 points to be Red Can’s leading scorer.

Big Blazing Bulldogs:

A Brendon White masterclass led Big Blazing Bulldogs to the 2024/25 EBA Men’s A-Grade premiership. The Bulldogs reversed the qualifying final results winning 55-30. White was awarded the MVP of the final scoring 21 points as Brett Trocinski provided nine points for Red Cans.

Breakers 16s:

Breakers U/16’s 33 defeated United GW 26 in the Women’s AR grand final as Beatrice Crane was awarded MVP of the match after scoring 14 points. Ryley Major led the scoring for United GW with nine points.

Smiles all round for the Breakers U16 winners

Youngster Oak Blakeney (11 pts) complemented the older heads of the United Men’s AR team as they defeated the Breakers U/18’s 41-38 in the grand final. United trailed for the majority of the contest but closed the match out with a 13-3 run in the final minutes to win. James Wynne scored 11 points for the Breakers U/18’s.

Lions:

Lions 20 defeated The Organic Mechanics 17 in the Women’s B-Grade grand final on Saturday afternoon. Shyanne-Thomas Mirrielees (five pts) was awarded the final MVP playing for the Organic Mechanics. Michelle Spicer provided eight points for the victors.

Lions Women’s B-Grade take home gold

Warriors:

Overtime was needed to separate the Warriors and Ballznall in the Men’s B-Grade grand final after teams were locked on 24 points apiece on the final buzzer. Game MVP Malachi Riley then went to work in the overtime period scoring seven points to lead his team to a 34-26 win. Darryl Stewart topped the scorers for Ballznall with eight points.
