Competitive riders took on Munglinup campdraft

Munglinup Bushmen’s Association hosted its annual Easter campdraft over the weekend with participants from as far away as Gin Gin, Albany and the Wheat Belt.

It kicked off with a Friday sausage sizzle, before adult and junior riders settled down to two days of competition.

Secretary Bianca Lawrence reported a very successful weekend that everyone enjoyed.

“Our draft is a smaller draft we are furthest away and we’re the last draft of the season,” she said.

“It went really well.”

President Guy Bennie said the draft went well with fantastic weather.

“Our two cattle donors in Kimbadell Pastroral Company and Arkle Angus, they had really well-handled stock so it made the sporting event really pleasant,” he said.
