Two dangerous intersections at Munglinup East are to be realigned under the WA Government’s Black Spot program for 2025-26.

The first is to be at the intersection of Oldfield and Rawlinson Roads at a cost of $82,633.

The gravel Y-intersection is to be realigned as a T-intersection, with improvements to drainage, delineation and signs.

The Springdale-Doyle Road intersection is to have improvements in several stages totalling $559,633 to realign, widen and seal the intersection; widen and seal approaches; improve drainage and floodways; and to install delineation and signs.

Stage 1 of this project is to cost $75,000 according to a statement from WA Transport minister Rita Saffioti and Road Safety minister Reece Whitby, with Stage 2 to be funded “in the future”.
