Ravensthorpe Shire is seeking State Government funds to realign and seal a dangerous intersection.
The T junction at the intersection of Mills and Melaleuca Roads is heavily used by trucks at grain harvest.
“It’s a pretty important stretch of road that gets a lot of traffic,” Shire president Tom Major told Council, who voted to approve the grant application on Tuesday.

The Commodity Route Fund a provides two thirds of project value to a maximum of $400,000, so the Shire would have to find up to $200,000 if its grant application succeeds.
The intersection is about 8km north west of Munglinup and about 2km north of South Coast Highway.
The Shire also intends to seal more than 2km of Mills Road between the Melaleuca Road and South Coast Highway.
