The Pier Hotel will become the scene of high energy, good vibes and wacky outfits as it welcomes WA-based artists to the Snake Pit for the Op Shop Party on Friday September 12.
To celebrate WA music week in Esperance, organiser Kyron Smithson (Kyza) said they had an “exceptionally cool” lineup of contemporary original music, kicking off at 8:30pm.
“The Op Shop party is just all about having a fun classic indie rock n roll night which happens so much in the metro area but less so down here because we are a small town,” Kyza said.

“We’ve got two well established upcoming acts based out of Perth in Rodney Starfish and Sunsick – super excited to have those guys down to Esperance for the first time.
“We’ve got Esperance local acts in there in Rachel Vibart and The Arid Ones who are both a lot of fun and then we’ve also got a two-piece rock n roll act from Denmark called Arthur Stewart who are very cruisy as well.”
He said the vibes were weird and whacky with prizes for best dressed and second best dressed.

“Back in the day I ran quite a few op shop party shows and it’s just to encourage people to have a bit of fun with supporting the local op shops, dressing up, something a bit different,” he said.
The event is funded by Western Australian Music, Edith Cowan University and the State Government.
Tickets can be purchased online for $17.
