The South East Coastal Bowling League men’s pennants season officially kicked off last weekend at the Esperance Bowling Club.
Hopetoun were welcomed back into the fold increasing the number of teams back to eight in the men’s competition, which will see them play twice in a day on the odd-numbered rounds.

Margins varied from 2 to 25 shots across the five matches on a drizzly overcast day for bowls, Hopetoun recording two handy wins against Scaddan 2, including victories on three of the four rinks.
Scaddan 1 were the only side to record a clean sweep of rink wins in round against Condingup 1 as Esperance Blue and Esperance Gold commenced with winning starts against Condingup 2 and Esperance White, respectively.
