Esperance Police commemorated State, Territory and Federal officers at their Police Remembrance Day ceremony on Friday.
A bugler played the last post at Esperance station as the flags were lowered to half-mast.
Event MC, senior Sergeant Chris Taylor, said it was dedicated to all Australian officers who had lost their lives in the line of duty.

āThis year I made special mention of the two officers from Porepunkah in Victoria who recently lost their lives ā I thought it was worth mentioning them and making the point that theyāll never be forgotten,ā Sergeant Taylor said.
Police Remembrance Day falls on September 29 each year but Sergeant Taylor said Esperance commemorated it on the 27th because of the Kingās birthday public holiday.
He said the turnout from the community was āfantasticā and Police appreciated the support.
āThere would have been 30 people external from the Police,ā he said.

āWe had people from the RSL, invited guests and the CEO of the Shire, Shane Burge.
āIt was great and we put on some food after for our invited guests and those who attend so it was lovely.ā
The ceremony was run by a local reverend.
