Partington Building Contractors are off to Adelaide in November for the national Master Builder Awards after their Tranquil Drive home was awarded best in the state in the $2-4 million category.
Partington owner Brett Partington said it was a “big achievement” for Esperance to be chosen for “Home of the Year” over builds in Perth.
“It’s pretty special really — it doesn’t happen every day,” Mr Partington said.
“All the tradesman who worked on it were local to Esperance.
“It was a good design and the owners and architect understood the difficulties we have in Esperance being so far away and getting materials down here.”
Partington won the Goldfields-Esperance “Home of the Year” category earlier this year and progressed to the state finals alongside Esperance building company Dixon Constructions.
He said it was the sixth time Partington had won the regional award and the third time they had won the best overall home.
“We don’t start off to win anything we just do the job and we try to do that with every job,” he said.
The national Master Builder Awards are set to take place on November 27 – 28.
