Sunday saw perfect weather for Geoff and Lyny Ling as they opened their Pink Lake garden to the public again after a two-year break.
“We raised in excess of $7,600 for RFDS,” Mrs Ling said.
“What a community.”

Visitors to their property, Helms Garden, checked out the extensive grounds while enjoying sausage sizzles, raffles, morning and afternoon teas and the “Garden of Knowledge” featuring visiting speakers on a range of horticultural topics.
Mrs Ling said the garden at 145 Helms Drive would be open again, free of charge, to pensioners and the disabled this Sunday from 1-4pm.

“Cars can drive in, if required, rather than walking up the driveway,” she said.
