Esperance-raised Kia Buckley grew her activewear brand Kikiva Collection from a small business out of her apartment garage to a multimillion-dollar enterprise in just a few years.
Her key to success? Social media.

Speaking to an auditorium of business representatives at Converge Esperance, the 23-year-old said: “TikTok changed my business”.
Buckley said she garnered millions of dollars through employee-generated content such as videos of “behind the scenes” at the office, meet and greets with consumers, and to keep it real, the “bad times” of building the brand too.
As a self-confessed unskilled dancer, she said creating the content had once been embarrassing but she said people were more inclined to buy a product when they felt they knew the faces behind the operation.
She said “giving back to the community” through activewear giveaways and meet and greets had also boosted her following.
It is through social media and her dedication to the brand that Buckley said she had created a “loyal” Kikiva Collection community, or what she calls, “girlypops”.
