The Rex community air fare for Esperance residents travelling to Perth is to rise by $20.
Council voted for the change as part of a 2025-26 agreement with Rex airlines this week.
This will bring the cost of the community fare to $159.
Shire chief executive Shane Burge said this would not affect the debt of about $400,000 in airport fees the embattled carrier owes the Shire.
The embattled airline entered into voluntary administration in July last year.
