ESPERANCE NETBALL ASSOCIATION
The Esperance Netball Association were represented by six sides at the Netball Western Australia Fuel To Go & Play Association Member Championships played over the WA Day long weekend.
The championships were held at Perth’s Gold and Matthews netball centres, with more than 300 players travelling from across the State and Internationally to compete.
Teams were divided into 46 divisions, which featured 13 metropolitan associations, 35 regional associations and invitational teams from Singapore.

Under the watchful eye of the Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers and Mentors, the players provided a fast, attacking brand of netball in all divisions, highlighted by grand final berths for the under-13 and under-14 teams.
The Association also provided a panel of umpires to officiate a number of games over the three days of the Championships.
The players come back to the local competition smarter, stronger and much improved players.

The 12s started their first matches for ENA strongly but were defeated by sides that went direct to goal and shot well. The girls would have learnt a lot about attacking the ball.
The ENA girls came out firing for their last game on day one against Leschenault Yellow playing a solid defensive and attacking game coming out two goal winners.
Asha Vermey was the 12s MVP as Eva Smith provided a good target in attack finishing the teams good work up court with goals.

Lacey Browning played lovely games in WD and C as Selemo Johnson and Lacey Hawke worked well together well in defence.
A great start for our new 12s team and their developmental journey with the Championships being their first for the players.
