Anyone feeling a spark of creativity has the opportunity to display their work at the Cannery this November as submissions are now open for the gallery’s fundraising 9×5 exhibition.
Keen participants of all ages can register their painting, drawing, mixed media or other creations until October 24 by handing them directly to the Cannery or delivering by post.
Artworks will be displayed from November 13 until auction day on December 14, where viewers will have the chance to bid on their favourite pieces.
Proceeds go towards Cannery operations by funding essentials including, insurance, aircon, the website and the photocopier.
The gallery raised $18,000 at its last 9×5 in 2023 and has its eyes set on raising $20,000 this year.
Registrations opened on September 1.
Art donators can grab a 9×5 board from the Cannery or DIY with any medium.
Artworks must be labelled with a name, title and the medium, while a website or social media handle is optional.
