On Saturday morning, three stolen vehicles were found abandoned and burnt out across West Beach and Nulsen.
Esperance police are investigating the incidents, believed to have taken place consecutively throughout Friday night.
Snr Sgt Chris Taylor said even with the lack of information they had available, it was hard to see the three incidents within such a short period of time as a coincidence.
“It is a random incident that happened,” he said.
“It is strange that happened in one night.”
At this stage, police said they had identified suspects, but no one had been charged.
These are the first recorded car thefts in Esperance this month, with two others recorded earlier this year in June and in April.
Police are urging anyone with information on the incidents to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or go directly to the police.
