Esperance Community Arts celebrated World Ocean Day with a morning of fun activities led by marine biologist and Beach School coordinator Jimena Ramon Montemayor.
“Even though it was a very rainy cloudy day kids still showed up and parents still brought them to celebrate the ocean,” she said.
“Rainy weather shouldn’t stop us from learning and caring about the ocean.”

Organisers said around 53 kids and 30 adults showed up on Sunday.
“So many smiles from the kids, who were so immersed in the creative activities and outdoor sensory play, the chia seed ocean was a hit!” they said.
“It was so great to see so many come down and join us for a morning of fun.

“Thanks to everyone who came down to create and play, big thanks to all our helpers on the day Jimena, Angel, Danielle, Tracy, Ronnie and Thuriyya.”
