Both Firebirds teams came home with the silverware after the Esperance Netball Association’s Junior grand finals last Saturday morning.
In the earlier J2 grand final, Firebirds 2 overcame Lightning 29-26 in a closely battled match where the lead changed hands several times.

Teal Dell’Agostino scored the last two goals of the contest to seal the win for Firebirds 2 as Chloe Charles was the grand final MVP.
The J1 grand final saw Fever 1 bounce out to a nine goal lead against Firebirds 1 midway through the second quarter.
Firebirds 1 then whittled the margin down to four goals at three quarter time to set up a frantic finish to the match.

Mia Moeauri stood tall in the final quarter for Firebirds 1 scoring 15 goals whilst the defence of Firebirds 1 restricted Fever 1 to only nine goals for the period.
After the grand finals, the end of season trophies were awarded, including the J1 fairest and best to Kasey Simson (Swifts) and the J2 fairest and best to Paige Firth (Swifts).
