The Esperance Land Based Fishing Club had an outstanding gathering for its first venue of the year on February 15 and 16 according to President Jesse Smithson.

“The club’s first venue of the year saw a great turnout with over 50 people registered and a heap of nice fish caught,” Smithson said.

“The president and his girlfriend got nice sharks and there was a few nice mulloway caught and heaps of big King George from out east.”

The family-friendly Club had a great number of children registered all looking to catch the elusive fish.

“There were over 20 kids, we encourage everyone to come down and get the whole family involved,” Smithson said.

“Any kid that comes and weighs in pretty much wins something.”

The next venue for the ELBFC 2025 season is scheduled for March 8 and 9 and all details will be on the Club’s Facebook page or contact Club president Jesse Smithson.

The Esperance Land Based Fishing Club also thanks its sponsors that are onboard for the 2025 season.
