In late October, the Progressive Women’s group in Esperance will be holding their annual garden tour.
Progressive Women’s treasurer Jan Archer said 20 years since it began, the garden tour was still one of the yearly highlights for the group.
“Some people join Progressive Women just for the garden day,” she said.
On the day, ticketholders will take a bus around Esperance to tour local gardens, stopping along the way for morning tea, lunch and afternoon drinks.
Ms Archer said the tour would feature gardens from group members as well as those belonging to Esperance locals that deserve to be admired.
The tour route will remain unknown to attendees until the day, which Ms Archer said added to the intrigue and “mystery”.
She said like other events hosted by Progressive Women, the funds raised by the garden tour would be put back into the community to fund projects and events.
The garden tour will be held on October 27 and tickets are available at Keevil’s Furniture Homemakers.
