Over the weekend of April 12 and 13 the Esperance Bowling Club hosted the Finals of the 2024-25 South East Costal League Pennants season.
The Semi Final was played on Saturday between the Scaddan teams and the Esperance teams. The Esperance side skippered by Ollie Astin had a convincing win over Scaddan’s Caroline Williams 27 shots to 13.

Last year’s winner Helen Perks presented South East Coastal Lady Bowler of the year trophy to joint winners Ollie Austin and Coral Grant.
On the other rink, Esperance Elaine Rule’s team had a nip and tuk game right up to the last end against Scaddan’s Trish Stone with a final score of 17 shots to 15 shots. The Esperance teams moved into the Final which was played against the season’s dominating team from Hopetoun on Sunday.
The Hopetoun side skippered by Susan Lee scored 26 shots against Esperance Oli Austin’s side with 15 shots. Elaine Rule’s side from Esperance had another nip and tuck game against the Hopetoun side skippered by Coral Grant with the final score being Grant 21 shots to Rule 18 shots.

Congratulations to all the ladies who provided some exceptional bowls and engaging games to watch.
At the presentations the South East Coastal Lady Bowler of the year trophy was presented. This resulted in a tie for the aard , which was won jointly by Ollie Austin from Esperance and Coral Grant from Hopetoun, with award being presented by last year’s winner Helen Perks.
