Local musicians shared their talents at the Esperance Music Festival Music Concert last week.

More than 75 young performers participated in the EMF Committee Father’s Day concert series at the SDA Hall.

The two concerts were family-friendly events featuring brass, woodwind, vocal, guitar and piano students who played solo, in duets, trios and small ensembles to an appreciative audience.

EMF President Helen McGill said family and friends enjoyed watching their loved ones have the chance to hone their performance skills by playing one or two prepared and rehearsed pieces.

“Events such as this are an important opportunity for young musicians to share their talent and gain performance experience,” she said.

Ms McGill said both local high school instrumental and private music students were offered a chance to participate in the concerts.

“The EMF committee would like to thank the talented performers and audience of both concerts,” she said.

“We look forward to seeing you all next year at the 51st Esperance Music Festival.”
