New coffee blend that’s much more than a caffeine fix

A group of friends from Perth are celebrating the life of their mate by creating a custom coffee blend in his honour.

Volunteer firefighter Harry Stead was 20-years old when he lost his life battling a fire near Esperance on Boxing Day last year.

A group of Harry’s friends who started the group “Blokes and Their Long Macs” say they intend to honour Harry’s life and his passion for coffee by creating a coffee blend inspired by Harry and contributing the profits to Nulsen Disability Services.

“Coffee brings people together, much like harry,” Jordy Pearce, Harry’s friend and Blokes and Their Long Macs representative partner said.

“It was always something we shared a love for and why a blend in his honour seems so fitting.”

“This blend is a way to honour steady and give back to the communities he was passionate about,” Ben Randall from Blokes and Their Long Macs said.

The coffee blend, “Steady On”, was an idea that Five Sense Coffee representative Nicole Novak said began when Harry had mentioned one day about having his own blend.

Harry’s blend has been created in collaboration with Five Senses Coffee and features notes of gingerbread, pineapple and jasmine florals. Blokes and their Long Macs said, “this blend is unique and wonderful, just like him”.
