I was one of the many people complaining there was no coffee available at the Jetty on weekends.

When our boys were growing up, we would often go to the jetty to get coffee and cold drinks and meet other families with kids.

Our boys have recently finished school and I had time to start a new business.

I had trained as a barista at Dome on Rottnest years ago so I had experience with customer service and making coffees.

Consistency is very important to me; I was often frustrated at other businesses swapping and changing their opening hours.

I wanted people to know from the start I would open at the Jetty every weekend as a service to our community and tourists.

It has been so nice to see people create new friendships and bonds and families come down regularly to meet on the weekends.

There is always somebody there for an impromptu chat.

I have been very lucky with the great staff I have, young schoolgirls who have grown with the business with me.

Customer service is very important to me and they have developed these skills, learning to communicate and interact with the public.

I am constantly amazed at how they handle those crazy busy days we have, and I am very thankful for their loyalty and commitment to the job.

I also have some great friends and family who help me in the van, especially my husband who goes and collects supplies for us when we run out, we have only very limited space!

There has been a great addition to our Sunday mornings with “Livy’s Kitchen” setting up next to us selling bacon and egg wraps, creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers.

It’s been two years now and everyday has been rewarding.

Shout out to our loyal customers, we couldn’t operate without you.
