Last Sunday, cars filled the lawns outside the Esperance Mechanical Restoration Group (EMRG) and the Veterans Classic Car Club for Outta the Shed.
Rhys Nevin’s 1975 Holden Torana SLR took the top spot in the car category, its lime green exterior catching the eye of many spectators.
The winning Ute was owned by EMRG president Bruce Campbell. It was not the first time his fully restored Toyota HJ 47 1982 had taken the top spot in a car show, and his win at Outta the Shed was proof it was still a crowd favourite.
Ian Barlow’s impressive Harley Davidson Soft Tail 2011 was the winning bike of the day, and the top truck went to Nolan Ridgeway’s mammoth Kenworth SAR 610 2024.
Event Coordinator Jodee Marsh said it had been one of the top Show and Shine events with plenty vehicle entries and people through the gate.
“The weather was in our favour; the recent rain took away the humidity and heat and it was a beautiful day.”
“We are very grateful for the community, without them there is no event.”
