The number of supermarket owners in Esperance will soon be reduced to two as Pink Lake IGA is changing hands.
Co-owner Carolyn Chambers confirmed they had accepted an offer from Guru Merchants Pty Ltd, which already owns Esperance’s other two IGA stores.
“They purchased the building earlier in the year,” she said.
“We asked them if they were interested in purchasing the business and they gave us a fair offer.”
Mrs Chambers said they had done business with the new manager in the past when he worked for the wholesale distributor Metcash.

“That will be great for the staff and I think they will get along with him very well,” she said.
“They have said they want to keep on all the staff and keep things ‘as is’ which is comforting to know.
“The fourth of June is meant to be our last day of trade.”
Woolworths has a supermarket at the Esperance Boulevard shopping centre.
