Pam Hanford from Esperance Vintage and Classic Car Club presents a cheque to Esperance Primary School’s Gareth Palmer for Tournament of the Minds.
Car lovers and retro rev heads have donated almost $10,000 to local causes after a highly successful show of restored machinery in March.
They donated $3300 each to Esperance Primary School’s Tournament of Minds team, 1st Esperance Scout Group and Esperance Junior Bushfire Brigade.
The money came from the proceeds of the 2025 Esperance Car, Bike and Truck show hosted by Esperance Mechanical Restoration Group (EMRG) Veteran Vintage and Classic Car Club (VCCCWA) and Outta The Shed Inc.
Outta the Shed spokesman Paddy Barber thanked the community for supporting the clubs and the event.

“It’s just great to be able to give back to the community and we’re looking forward to doing it again,” he said.
“We do it every two years.”

This year’s show saw 175 registered vehicles including 12 invited trucks for the first time, and 19 utes competed in their own class.
Mr Barber said the event raised $10,000 bringing the total donated since 2012 to around $77,000.
