The Esperance skatepark buzzed with excitement on Saturday as it hosted the annual Battle of the Bay competition.
Brothers Luke and Justin Ward from Soggybones skateshop in Dunsborough have officiated as judges and MCs at every competition since the venues opening in 2016.
Alongside BMX, scooter, and skateboarding contests, the event featured an open women’s skateboarding competition for the second time.
Notably, this year’s open women’s competition saw significant growth, with six participants nominated—double the number from the previous year.
The energetic atmosphere and competitive spirit displayed the thriving local skateboarding community.
