Swan Lagoon bird trip

Esperance Bird Observers’ Group members ignored the weather warnings and set out for their annual trip to Swan Lagoon near Grass Patch.

They stopped at another lake along the way where they observed nine species before meeting at the site of the historic camel watering station, which still has the remains of the water condenser.

There they either saw or heard 24 bird species, in between showers.

The group meets for an outing every second Sunday of the month with all welcome to join.

Details are available on the group’s Facebook page.
