Vietnam Veterans and Esperance RSL Sub-branch members at the conclusion of this year’s Vietnam Veterans Day observance.
Vietnam Veterans gathered with friends and family remember their fallen comrades on the anniversary of the battle of Long Tan on Sunday.
Wreaths were laid at the Esperance Centotaph, RSL Esperance sub-branch president Glenn Churchland and vice president George Starcevich and Esperance Town Band trumpeter Peter Jackson played the last post as Korean War veteran Stan Starcevich lowered the flag to half mast.
Mr Churchland then invited all present to the RSL club room for a convivial glass of port.
